Bookmaker comparison · Updated 22 May 2026
World Cup 2026 bookmakers — Mostbet, Fonbet, 1xBet compared
Three internationally-operating sportsbooks reviewed against the same 8-criterion framework. All three are licensed offshore (Curaçao or Cyprus). None of the three holds a UK, Maltese, German, Spanish or Italian licence. Read the licensing section of each review before depositing — and check whether the operator is legally available in your country.
Our ranking — best on overall weighted score
Ranked from highest to lowest weighted overall score against our 8-criterion framework. The scores are not advertising claims. They are the framework output for the operators we work with as affiliate partners. We are transparent that commission rates differ across partners — see the methodology page for what we do and don't weight.
Fonbet
A long-established sportsbook operating internationally from Cyprus, with consistent payout history and a multi-deposit welcome package
Mostbet
International sportsbook with broad WC2026 market coverage and a low-deposit welcome offer
1xBet
The widest market depth on our list — and the most extensive regulatory history. Read both halves before registering.
Best for specific use cases
Different operators are stronger on different criteria. If you're optimising for a specific dimension rather than overall score, here is our short-list:
Best for market depth
1xBet — 800-1,000+ markets per top-fixture match, including outright variants, player props and obscure long-tail markets. Highest market-depth score of the three.
Best for sharp 1X2 prices
1xBet at 4-6% on top-league football, marginally ahead of Fonbet at 4.5-6.5% on majors. Mostbet sits behind at 5.5-7%.
Best for low-deposit entry
Mostbet with a €2 platform minimum (€20 to claim the bonus). 1xBet's €1 minimum is technically lower but practical UX favours Mostbet.
Best for cryptocurrency support
1xBet with 45+ supported cryptocurrencies — the widest crypto coverage of any partner. Mostbet supports 6+, Fonbet 4+.
Best for European football specialism
Fonbet — the longest continuously-trading book on our list, with sharp odds on European football, tennis and continental ice hockey.
Best for cleanest welcome bonus terms
1xBet — single deposit, 5× wagering on accumulator at 1.40 minimum odds. Lowest practical friction of the three offers.

How we scored these three
Every operator on this page was scored against the same 8-criterion framework. Each criterion is weighted; the overall score is a weighted average. The full weighting and definitions are documented on the methodology page — but the headline weights are:
- Match-market prices (25%) — average 1X2 and goals margin across a 30-fixture sample. Lower margin = higher score.
- Payout reliability (15%) — time-to-withdraw, dispute-resolution history, customer-review evidence we trust.
- Outright market prices (15%) — particularly important for World Cup-specific coverage.
- Market depth (10%) — markets per match, player props, Asian variants.
- Regulatory licensing (10%) — strong jurisdictions (UKGC, MGA, ANJ, DGOJ, ADM, AGCO) score top marks. Offshore Curaçao licences score lower.
- Welcome bonus value (10%) — net expected value of the offer after wagering.
- Mobile UX (10%) — loading speed, in-play interface clarity, app stability.
- Responsible-gambling tools (5%) — capped at 50% of total score if essentials are missing.
An important caveat for this list
None of the three operators reviewed here holds a UK, Maltese, German, Spanish, French, Italian or Dutch licence. All three operate under Curaçao or Cyprus regulation. This means the regulatory-licensing scores across all three sit below 5 out of 10 — and the responsible-gambling-tools scores are also lower than they would be for UKGC- or MGA-licensed peers. If you live in a country with a strong domestic licensing regime, you should be using a domestically-licensed operator instead, and these reviews are not relevant to you.
For players in jurisdictions without a strong domestic regime — most of Eastern Europe, much of Latin America, much of South Asia — the choice among offshore-licensed operators matters, and these three are reviewed within that constraint.
